The NBA MVP race is refreshingly competitive this year, and strong takes are pouring in from all angles over which of the three front-runners truly gets buckets.

It’s a difficult proposition. Stephen Curry, James Harden and Russell Westbrook are all very bucket-y—the primary determiner in choosing the winner of the Maurice Podoloff Trophy. But whose buckets are the biggest? Which team needs buckets the most?

These are the questions that continue to be argued, and they have apparently led to Andrew Bogut wiping his former coach Mark Jackson completely from memory.

ESPN’s Ethan Strauss tweeted an interesting exchange between reporters and the Golden State Warriors center Thursday night. When asked about Jackson’s recent endorsement of James Harden for MVP, Bogut shrugged it off as a bad joke.

He then forgot who that Mark Jackson fellow is.

Summation: Don’t cross the Bogut.

And that’s how things are between Golden State and Jackson, who walked off huffily after being fired and hasn’t exactly been missed. He’s definitely not getting invited to the Bogut family picnic this summer.

Dan is on Twitter. J.R. for MVP.
